Train Slams Into Truck in Glade Spring, Virginia, Killing One | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:


There was a wreck in Glade Spring, Virginia that involved a train and a flatbed truck, which took the life of the car driver. According to media reports, the crash occurred in the Glade Spring Town Square near Grace Street. The flatbed truck appeared to have caught on fire and was crushed under a train car. The fire was put out in a few minutes.

 

Virginia State Police stated that trains were delayed for several hours because of the wreck, and the public was warned to avoid the area. Norfolk Southern was the operator of the train.
