Two Vehicle Crash in Halifax County Sends Several to the Hospital | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A major collision involving two vehicles in Halifax County, North Carolina ends up hospitalizing several involved in the wreck. The crash occurred at the intersection of Thelma Road and Highway 158. Emergency crews had to transport everyone involved to Halifax Regional Medical Center where they are being treated for multiple injuries. 

With a combined effort from Davie County firefighters, Halifax Emergency Medical, Warren County Rescue, Halifax Sheriff’s Office and N.C. Highway Patrol the accident victims were tended to while clearing the roads in an orderly fashion. Currently, the identities of the victims and their conditions have not been released. 

Established in 1758, Halifax County is in northeastern North Carolina, eight miles from the Virginia border. Located in the Roanoke River and Tar-Pamlico River basins, it encompasses an area of approximately 722 square miles, with a population of 57,000 residents. Principal industries include textiles, tourism, industrial and agricultural businesses.
