VA Boat Operator and Passenger Die After Crash on Rappahannok River

Comments (0)
A night on the water in Middlesex, Virginia (VA), turned deadly for a boat passenger and operator. The 25-foot craft in which the man and woman were riding was involved in at least two collisions on and near the Rappahannok River after sunset on June 3, 2011, according to the Virginian-Pilot.

The female passenger died at the scene of the final crash into a break wall despite efforts to resuscitate her by the Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad. The boat's operator passed away later.

Members of Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries investigated the cause of the accident. Depending on
the agency's findings, the deceased victims' family members may have grounds to file a personal injury lawsuit with the assistance of VA accident lawyers.
