According to the Virginian-Pilot, a BMW making a left from Mercury Boulevard hit an SUV before also running into a man standing on the median and a second SUV stopped at the exit to the shopping center.

The pedestrian, age 58, and two people inside the BMW suffered injuries. Any charges for the incident were pending further investigation.

As Virginia personal injury attorneys, my colleagues and I have seen many car accidents occur in busy parking areas. In one case, the firm assisted our client in settling a case for $227,000. On June 28, 2004, the client and his family were visiting the resort area of Virginia Beach, VA, on vacation. The client and his family were walking down a sidewalk besde Atlantic Avenue and crossed 26th Street in the marked crosswalk. The defendant in the case turned right while failing to see the client. The result was that our client suffered a severe fracture in his right leg.
