Virginia Beach Car Accident Death Victim Identified by Police

Virginia Beach police have identified the victim of a weekend Virginia car accident fatality as Samuel Jackson Craven. Craven, a Portsmouth resident, was driving a 1993 Ford Aerostar van on Old Carolina Road around 2pm when being struck by a southbound 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. Craven was pronounced dead at the local hospital.

This is the third recent Hampton Roads fatality accident where one car turned in front of another in recent weeks. People turning left across traffic must be extra careful, sometimes you can't tell if the oncoming cars are speeding. Also, it was noted that Craven was not wearing his seatbelt. Our prayers go out to his family.
