Virginia Beach Car Wreck Causes Loss of Life | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A 79-year-old woman was killed in a two car accident that occurred on Little Neck Road near the Lemon Way intersection in Virginia Beach, VA.

Reports indicate a 55-year-old woman was driving her car on Little Neck Road when she suffered what may have been a medical emergency and crossed the center line. This led to her slamming into the older woman’s 1995 Honda Civic, according to the Daily Press.

The innocent victim was taken to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital where she lost her life due to the injuries she sustained in the car crash.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the victim. Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult experiences a person can go through, but the pain is made that much worse when the loss is sudden and unexpected. The family is probably struggling with acombination of emotions — pain from the loss and anger at the at-fault driver for causing this car wreck.

The family should consider speaking with an attorney to discuss their legal options. Many times, when an at-fault driver claims they suffered a medical emergency, we can prove that the at-fault driver should have reasonably known about their condition and negligently took the risk to operate a vehicle.
