Virginia Beach Woman Dies in Fiery Crash on Roth Bridge in Delaware (DE) | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

According to an article in the Virginian Pilot, 21-year-old Ashley Campbell of Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA) was killed when the van she was riding in caught fire.  Patrick Turner, of Virginia Beach, was driving the van.  A sudden mechanical failure forced the van to slow down on the Roth Bridge.  Lloyd Jones of Dover was driving a tractor-trailer behind the van.  Jones was unable to stop his vehicle causing it to crash into the van driven by Turner.  Both vehicles caught on fire.

Delaware State Police
said Turner was driving on a suspended license.  No charges have been filed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Ms. Campbell.
