West VA 62 Shut Down Due to Multiple Accidents | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The Point Pleasant Register reported that two accidents caused West Columbia, West Virginia (VA) 62 to be closed temporarily on Wednesday, January 26th, 2011.

At approximately noon, three vehicles were involved in an accident that caused the roadway to be shut down for an hour. Although several injuries were reported, the conditions of the injured were unknown at press time. The scene was investigated by the Mason County Sheriff’s Department with help from the Mason County detachment of the West Virginia State Police.

Later that same day, another accident occurred on West Columbia 62, causing the road to be temporarily closed again. This time, only two vehicles were involved in the crash, which was also investigated by the sheriff’s department. According to officials, one injured person was transported to Pleasant Valley Hospital, while another was taken to Holzer Medical Center.
