In his latest post to our firm’s Virginia Trucking Accident Attorneys Blog, my colleague Rick Shapiro reports that a wife whose husband lost his life when a semi ran a stop sign and hit the man’s car at an intersection in Illinois has received a $5 million settlement from the health care company that owned the big rig. Rick notes that large commercial trucks are difficult to stop and that a single error by a semi’s driver too often results in tragedy.
