The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective: Crashes involving wrong-way drivers can be particularly devastating: because a driver is going against traffic, a head-on collision, which is an extremely dangerous type of accident, is almost inevitable. Earlier last month we reported on a terrible head-on collision on Interstate 85 that claimed the life of five motorists; the physics of such accidents mean that drivers will almost certainly suffer extreme injury and even death as a result of the crash. Those who have been injured in a head-on collision, or those who have suffered the tragic loss of a loved one in such an event, have our deepest sympathies; one’s life can be derailed by such injuries, to say nothing of the death of a family member.

Anyone who has endured such circumstances should consider speaking with a personal injury attorney; the process of determining one’s rights to legal compensation is critical after such an accident, and a personal injury lawyer can help a great deal.

Potentially Helpful Info: Because victims of car accidents may not know where to turn or where to begin, it’s important to be familiar with the common steps one should take after a wreck, as well as how to avoid various mistakes victims sometimes make. The personal injury attorneys at our law firm based in Virginia (VA) have prepared a helpful guide that explains these things; you can download it by clicking here. The guide also details such as information as the different types of injury claims and how to use your health insurance to help with costs after an accident.

However, it’s important to remember that not everyone is on your side after an accident; insurance companies, in particular, will do whatever they can to lowball or even deny your injury claim. Our Virginia personal injury lawyers have written an article that shows how insurance companies attempt to lessen the payments they make to injury victims; click here to read it.
