Wrong-Way Car Crash Leads to Loss of Life | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

An SUV was going the wrong way on State Road 9A in Jacksonville, Florida (FL), which led to a three-car crash. Sadly, this wrong-way car wreck led to the death of a 23-year-old woman, according to news4jax.com.

A Toyota FJ Cruiser was traveling in the wrong direction and slammed head on into a Toyota Scion, then hit a Nissan. The Cruiser rolled over several times and burst into flames. Two women in the Scion who were taken to the hospital. The passenger, 20-year-old Chanel Boone of Fayetteville, North Carolina (NC) lost her life. The driver, 23-year-old Ashley Ball, is in the hospital and had to undergo surgery for broken wrists and a broken ankle.

The at-fault driver of the Cruiser has charges pending against him. Police suspect alcohol played a factor in this awful car crash and the at-fault driver may have not had his lights on.

My deepest sympathies go out to the victim’s family. The emotions they are experiencing are probably a combination of sadness and rage. The loss of losing someone you love is almost unbearable, but it’s exacerbated when you know your loved one was taken from you in a preventable accident.
