Attorney Examines Mesothelioma Risks for Car Repairmen | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Many brakes and clutches are contaminated with asbestos and car mechanics are at risk of developing mesothelioma and other asbestos-induced cancers because of their exposure while working at a repair shop.  This is what my colleague wrote about in his newest Injuryboard article.The EPA warned of the risks associated with asbestos for mechanics back in 1986, but the challenge with asbestos cancers is that they don’t get noticed for years after the exposure. This means a mechanic in 1986 may not find out they have mesothelioma until today or some time in the future. To learn more, check out the article.
