Attorney Presents FELA/Railroad Legal Issues at AAJ Summer Conference

Firm attorney Rick Shapiro was invited to be a presenter/speaker/panelist at the American Association for Justice Annual Convention (July 2010). He focused on occupational carcinogens like asbestos, diesel fumes, and other hazardous substances in railroad injury cases. Rick is a published author on railroad health and safety issues such as co-authoring "Railroad Health and Safety; A Litigator's Guide," published at 72 Am. Jur. Trials 1, and the "Railroad Worker's FELA Rights" book. Rick has handled numerous cases involving railroad workers stricken with occupational diseases like mesothelioma over his 20+ years of legal experience.

Rick is well known to the AAJ. He has spoken at their annual convention on three prior occasions. These conventions, held over a five-day period, feature education programs for plaintiff lawyers with a national focus including best practices and strategies for various types of civil litigation. The convention allows attorneys to return to their practices reenergized and better able to represent their clients.
