CSX Worker Killed in Train Accident in Henrico County, Virginia | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A CSX worker was reportedly hit and killed by a train in Henrico County, Virginia (VA). Henrico police reported that the incident happened around 3 a.m. at the ACCA train yard in the 2100 block of Westwood Avenue, according to wtvr.com. The worker died at the scene of the incident. Henrico County Police, CSX Railroad Police, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board are all investigating the incident to try and determine what exactly happened. Was the operator of the train distracted? Why were workers at the train yard so late? These are just some of the questions that need to be answered. The name of the victim has not been published. Nevertheless, we want to extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the victim. In the blink of an eye, this worker’s life was taken and  now his family is left to pick up the pieces.
