Firm Attorney Speaks to Members of the Virginia State Bar About Virginia & North Carolina Personal Injury Law | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Firm attorney Rick Shapiro spoke at a Virginia State Bar seminar held in Emporia, Va. about Virginia and North Carolina personal injury laws. Rick was an invited presenter. He compared and contrasted North Carolina and Virginia personal injury/tort laws. This is an extremely important topic since many attorneys in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia also practice in Elizabeth City and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Also, it is quite common for someone to get into a serious accident while traveling from North Carolina to visit Virginia Beach or the Eastern Shore, or for a Virginia resident to get hurt while traveling to Nags Head or another OBX destination.  Nearly 150 Virginia lawyers from Richmond, Hampton Roads, and Emporia were in attendance at this seminar. The attorneys at Shapiro & Appleton& Duffan take pride in being thought-leaders in the field of personal injury law. Rick has presented, along with his law partners, at numerous seminars sponsored by the Virginia Beach Bar Association, Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, etc.
