Law Firm Supports Volunteer Firefighters | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The law firm Shapiro, Washburn & Sharpdonated to the North Carolina-based Colington Volunteer Firefighter Department. The donation was made in memory of Deborah T. Case, the wife of Shapiro & Appleton’s investigator Donald Case.

Deborah passed away in Nags Head on Monday, August 10, 2009.  She was born in Hopewell, Virginia (VA) and lived in Chester, Virginia with her husband.  Over the years, the couple made many memories at their vacation home in Colington, North Carolina (NC) where Deborah enjoyed the natural beauty of the Outer Banks.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked for memorial donations in Deborah’s memory to be forwarded to the Colington Volunteer Fire Department.

Kim Piddington, Chief of the Colington Volunteer Firefighters responded to the firm’s donation saying, “With donations like yours, we will be able to continue to provide the best possible emergency services to our community.”

The attorneys at Shapiro, Washburn & Sharpare proud their donation will be used to support volunteer firefighters, a noble and vital service to the Carolina community.

The firm regularly donates to other charitable organizations including the Virginia State Police Foundation, The United Way, The Y.M.C.A., the American Cancer Society; The Red Cross, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University; Lance Armstrong Foundation/Livestong, and the Juvenile Diabetes Relief Fund.
