Truck Plows Into Tent At West Virginia Music Festival Killing One | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

One young woman was killed and two others were seriously injured at the All Good Music Festival in West Virginia when a pickup truck lost control and crashed into a campground.

According to the Preston County Sheriff’s Department, 20-year-old Clay Harlin Lewin of Cape Charles, Virginia, was leaving the festival grounds at 9 a.m. on Sunday when he lost control of the vehicle, which slid down a hillside and into a tent where three women were sleeping. The Daily Mail reports that 20-year-old Nicole Paris Miller was killed in the accident while 20-year-old Elizabeth Rose Doran and 21-year-old Yen H. Tom were injured in the accident. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while the two injury victims were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Doran is in good condition and Yen has been treated and released.

Authorities say that they are still investigating exactly what caused the accident, though they don’t believe that either drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. They are awaiting the results of Miller’s autopsy and interviewing witnesses at this time.

The All Good Music Festival stated that they were saddened by the pickup truck accident and that they would be cooperating fully with authorities investigating the incident.
