Eastern Shore, Virginia Personal Injury Lawyers & Accomack Car Accident Attorneys Ready to Help.

The Eastern Shore is a beautiful rural area of Virginia (VA) featuring cotton, soybean, vegetable and truck farming, vineyards, and large-scale chicken farms. It consists of two counties (Accomack and Northampton) along with a myriad of unique and inviting towns like Cape Charles, Exmore, Tangier Island, etc.

The Eastern Shore is connected to the rest of Virginia primarily through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnell. This main artery to the Commonwealth is routinely subjected to traffic jams and distracted drivers. As mentioned, large commercial trucks often travel to-and-from the Eastern Shore due to the businesses that call the Eastern Shore home. This creates an environment where serious auto accidents, truck wrecks, and motorcycle wrecks can occur.

Experience Helping Eastern Shore Clients

Our firm represented a client who was the front-seat passenger in a vehicle operated by his daughter. They were traveling home from a seafood restaurant in Accomack County, Virginia (VA) on rural intersection on Route 180.  At that same moment, a teenager was operating a Ford Ranger on Route 600. He completely failed to stop at a stop sign and smashed broadside into the car occupied by our client.

The rescue squad transported our client to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was admitted since he was more seriously injured than his daughter. He was prepared for surgery on his right forearm and a hip injury after being treated initially. Doctors put him into the intensive care unit because of his unstable condition at admission and his multiple traumas.

Ultimately, orthopedic surgery was required and he underwent an open reduction and internal fixation of his right ulna in the forearm area. His femur and hip area surgery was successfully carried out at the hospital. Unfortunately, he also suffered complications during his hospitalization because there was increased drainage from his right hip wound so a wound vacuum system had to be placed on the area to help with drainage.

Our client suffered extensive, traumatic injuries and accrued medical bills in excess of $100,000. Our team of experienced Eastern Shore car accident lawyers examined all of the available auto insurance coverage and determined that multiple policies needed to be “stacked” in order to get our client much-needed compensation. We were ultimately able to recover $250,000 in a settlement for our client. Learn more by reading the full Eastern Shore car accident case result here.
