12-year-old Hit and Injured by Car near Trask Middle School | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A 12-year-old girl was hit by a car as she was attempting to cross the street near her school –Trask Middle School. She was with two other children who were not injured.

The accident occurred, according to Star News Online,  at the intersection of North College Road and North Chase Parkway in New Hanover, North Carolina (NC). The girl was taken for medical care toNew Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Many questions surround this accident but the most pressing is what led to the at-fault driver hitting the young girl? Was the driver distracted in some way? Were they speeding? We will have to wait and see what the accident report reveals.
