5 Injured in Accident with ECU Bus | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Five people were injured in a chain-reaction accident that began when an East Carolina University transit bus rear-end a car. According to officials, the bus crashed into the back of an Acura, causing the car to crash into a truck. The other vehicles were stopped while waiting for another vehicle to turn into a shopping center, but the ECU bus did not stop in time to avoid an accident. Police have charged the male driver with failure to reduce speed.

My thoughts go out to the victims, and I wish them speedy recoveries. Buses are relatively safe vehicles to ride in, but few cars can withstand an impact from a vehicle so big.

If you or someone you know was involved in a crash like this one, consider consulting a North Carolina personal injury lawyer. People injured in a crash deserve justice for the pain they’ve suffered and the medical bills they’ve incurred.
