Alleged Drunk Driver Smashes Into House, Pins Sleeping Owner in Bed | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A pickup truck lost control, ran off the road, and smashed through the front of a house in Woodbridge, Virginia, pinning the sleeping homeowner under the vehicle. The crash happened on the 1900 block of Willow Lane in Prince William County.

Rescue crews stabilized the truck and the structure, so that they could treat the victim. The victim was then pulled from under the truck by rescue personnel and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup was charged with drunk driving and driving without a license.

The house is being looked over by a building inspector to determine if it is still inhabitable.
