Argument Leads to NC Car Accident that Injures Six | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

While most people celebrate Labor Day having picnics or cook-outs with friends, six people ended up spending theirs in the hospital after a car crash and shoot-out early Monday morning, September 3, 2012. According to Clinton police, two cars were leaving an all-night party when one started chasing the other. The car being chased crashed into a pickup truck on NC 24 in Clinton, North Carolina, causing serious damage to the truck, its occupants, and the people in the car. When the other car – a Pontiac – caught up to the car crash, shots were fired and two people were hit. The Pontiac then fled the scene.

The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

What a scary event for the driver and passenger in the pickup truck, who police believe were not involved in the altercation that led to the car chase. They now have to recuperate from their injuries and deal with the nightmare of trying to figure out who is at fault for the car wreck, who was driving the car that fled, and if any insurance claims or lawsuits can be filed. An experienced North Carolina car accident attorney can help them follow the investigation and take any action necessary for them to be compensated for their injuries and personal property damage, even if the at-fault driver or drivers do not have adequate insurance.
