Biker Dies In Crash With Pickup in Falls Church, Virginia | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A biker from Falls Church Virginia was killed when she was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection of Columbia Pike and Ashwood Place. The biker was trying to cross Columbia Pike from north to south, when a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that was traveling westbound on Ashwood Place slammed into her.

The impact of the crash caused the biker to slam into the hood and fly over the roof. Fairfax County police have not charged the driver of the pickup truck at this time, and speed was not a factor in the accident, according to Patch.com.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the biker who died in this tragic accident. While the driver of the truck has not been charged, the family should speak with a Virginia personal injury lawyer, because they may be eligible for financial restitution in a civil court claim.
