In his latest post to the Virginia Beach Injury Board, colleague John C. welcomes the news that Chesapeake has begun installing and operating red light cameras at the city’s most dangerous intersections. John notes that Chesapeake joins Virginia Beach and Newport News as cities in the greater Hampton Roads region that use Photo Safe programs to reduce car, truck, motorcycle and other vehicle accidents caused by red light runners. He also points to the cameras as one more factor likely to drive the already decade-long downward trend in collisions on the area’s roads and highways.
