Chesterfield Virginia (VA) Truck Driver Injured in Car Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

In Woodbridge, Virginia (VA) on Interstate-95 a woman driving a compact car pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer while trying to merge.  Sadly the woman was killed.  The big rig tried to avoid the car by swerving to the left but the two collided anyway.  The tractor trailer driver suffered injuries after his rig crashed down and embankment and jackknifed.

The Virginia Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

As an experienced Virginia (VA) truck injury attorney I’d like to first offer my condolences to the family of the woman who passed.  However the family of the injured tractor-trailer driver must be considered as well.  The driver of the truck, a 49 year-old man from Chesterfield, VA, suffered injuries that may have life-long consequences.  Commercial truck injury cases usually take longer than car accidents to resolve.  I encourage his family to seek experienced truck accident injury lawyers.  Even if there is an extended period of time before a lawsuit has to be filed, that does not mean you should wait to contact an attorney. There are many details that need to be dealt with as quickly as possible. For example, you want to document your injuries, secure evidence, identify possible responsible persons, and determine insurance policy coverage along with policy limits as soon as you can.
