Child Hit by Suspected Drunk Driver in Norfolk Released from Hospital | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A young boy, only 5-years-old has spent the past two months in the hospital after suffering serious injuries in a suspected DUI accident in Norfolk, Virginia (VA).

The boy was walking with his father, his cousin and sibling down a driveway when they were hit by a driver who had chosen to avoid the stop lights of a school bus and swerved around.

The family was rushed to the hospital. All other victims were released from the hospital shortly after the accident. The 5-year-old boy, however, suffered severe injuries that kept him in Children’s Hospital at the King’s Daughters.

According to Wavy.com, the driver is in jail without bond and is facing a myriad of charges including reckless driving, assault and DUI.
