The wreck occurred near Valparaiso, Indiana (IN), on January 7, 2011, and two CSX employees sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment. Rick notes that federal investigators have begun seeking a cause for the accident and that if findings turn up evidence of missing or misused communications equipment, CSX could be held liable under the Safety Appliance Act.
