Three Injured in Danville, VA Bus Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A mass transit bus was involved in an accident leading to three people suffering injuries. Reports indicate a car made a wide right turn and hit the bus at the intersection of Stratford Place and Westhampton Avenue in Danville, Virginia (VA).

The three people injured in the bus crash were taken to Danville Regional Medical Center, according to wset.com. We do not know the extent of the injuries. They could be minor like cuts and bruises or could be serious like a traumatic brain injury, broken bones, and/or serious neck pain.

The at-fault driver of the car was charged with failure to yield right of way. This is considered a four-point violation, and those four points may stay on the reckless driver’s record for up to three years.

Some people may think that if they get hurt while using public transportation that they do not qualify for compensation through a personal injury claim. This is not the case. You may be eligible for compensation if you suffered a serious injury and missed work, racked up large medical bills, and need extensive rehab.
