Deadly Head-On Crash in Accomack County, VA | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

It can’t be said enough – do not drink and drive. Unfortunately, far too many drivers still ignore this simple rule and throw caution to the wind. A prime example is a head-on crash in Accomack County, Virginia (VA) where three people were killed by a driver who appears to have been intoxicated. Now, the driver that caused this awful wreck is facing three counts of involuntary manslaughter as well as a DUI charge.

The Virginia State Police stated that the crash happened in Keller, Virginia near Lankford Highway and First Street.

The driver of a 1999 Chevrolet Venture was going north on the highway and crossed the center line, slamming into a 2012 Nissan Altima head on. The driver of the Nissan died, as well as two passengers. One of them was a 12 year-old boy. Another passenger, a 13 year-old boy, was thrown from the car and was taken to a nearby hospital for life-threatening injuries.

So heartbreaking. These innocent victims had their whole lives ahead of them with potentially bright futures. Now, they are gone, with only memories to provide comfort to their loved ones.

The alleged drunk driver was not injured in the crash.
