Driver Fled Scene After Wayne County, WV Car Crash, Still Running | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A two-car crash sent three people to the hospital and one suspect on the run. The accident happened on Route 152 in Wayne County, West Virginia (WV), and was said to be caused by a driver’s road rage.

The allegedly at-fault driver was driving erratically when he lost control of the car, careened to in the guardrail and then across the center lane into another car. Two passengers in the suspect’s car were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other car, an elderly gentleman, aso had to be transported to the hospital. The suspect was taken to the hospital, as well, after being found a short distance away but left the hospital without being treated.

According to local police and WSAZ News Channel 3, the suspect faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crime, driving on a revoked license and failure to render aid. As of the date of this posting, the suspect had not been apprehended.

The front-seat passenger in the suspect’s car is still listed in critical condition while the other passenger had to undergo emergency surgery for a broken leg.
