Drunk Driver Kills Woman, Dog in Manassas, VA | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

When drivers make the decision to drink before getting behind the wheel and hitting the road, they put the safety of everyone else at risk. Now, a Manassas, Virginia (VA) woman and her dog are dead after one drunk driver did just that.

Authorities say the driver of a Lexus RX300 was heading north on Dumfries Road when she ran a red light and collided with a Ford Focus turning from the Prince William Parkway. The force of the impact sent the Focus crashing into a Volkswagon Jetta. A passenger in the Focus died from her injuries at a local hospital, and the driver of the Focus was treated for life-threatening injuries. The family dog, also riding in the Focus, was also killed.

Police have arrested the drunk driver, and she’s been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and involuntary manslaughter.


A fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Dumfries Road and Prince William Parkway in Manassas, VA.
