Firefighter Injured When Hit by Van at Scene of Tractor-Trailer Accident in King, NC | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The driver of van who hit a volunteer firefighter who was monitoring traffic at the scene of a tractor-trailer accident on Highway 52 in King, North Carolina (NC), has been charged with careless and wreckless driver. The firefghter was carried approximately 100 feet and sustained injuries, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

The van reportedly drove around a patrol car and through a set cones closing off a traffic lane before colliding with the firefighter. The at-fult driver also sideswiped a rescue vehicle.
