Five Hurt in Wreck on NC 150 in Salisbury | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A Dodge Durango and Mitsubishi Eclipse smashed into each other on NC 150 in Salisbury, North Carolina. Five people were in the Durango and two in the Eclipse, and five people in both vehicles suffered injuries, with one of them seriously hurt.

According to witnesses, accidents on this stretch of road are common due to high speed and slick pavement. Vehicles often fly off the road and hit fences, trees and mailboxes. The speed limit on the road is 55 MPH, but apparently, drivers often go faster.

The vehicles suffered major damage and airbags deployed in both. The Eclipse ended up on top of a mailbox. The investigation into this wreck continues.

North Carolina Personal Injury Lawyer Perspective:

Our hope is that everyone who was injured in this wreck gets back to health quickly. We all should remember how important it is to drive at a safe speed, obey speed limits, and slow down when road conditions are less than ideal.

It is not clear at this time who was at fault in this accident. However, both drivers could benefit from speaking to a personal injury lawyer. A civil law suit could be filed against the at-fault driver, so that the injured parties can receive financial restitution for their injuries.
