Former Fire Chief in Critical Condition After Washington County, NC Wreck | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

As North Carolina car accident victims’ attorneys, we learn of far too many tragic accidents. The latest wreck to catch our attention involved a man who spent his whole life protecting others but is now fighting to recover after being struck head-on by a 16-year-old driver.

The nearly fatal occurred when the driver of a Nissan Xterra SUV swerved around a stopped vehicle on NC 32 in Washington County, North Carolina (NC), went into the lane of oncoming traffic and collided with the car of former Roper County fire chief Charles Hassell. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, and charges are pending against the teenager.
