Four Injured in SUV-Minivan Crash in Suffolk, VA

Four people went to hospitals with injuries after an SUV and a minivan crashed near the interchange of Route 13/Whaleyville Boulevard and Arthur Drive in Suffolk, Virginia (VA). The wreck happened on the morning of December 16, 2016, but the exact cause remained undetermined three days later.

The three people in the minivan sustained severe injuries, with two requiring medevac by helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A photograph from the scene showed the minivan flipped onto its side. The SUV’s driver sustained less severe injuries.

While the investigation continues, all the people hurt in this Suffolk wreck could benefit from consulting with a Virginia personal injury lawyer. A legal advisor will work to make sure each person with a potential insurance claim stays up to date on what police find. Speaking with a plaintiff’s attorney will also help each injured person understand, protect and exercise his or her rights to seek compensation for medical bills and other expenses.

One concern is that police may not issue a definitive conclusion regarding which driver caused the crash by acting negligently or reckless. If that happens, the injured individuals may have to go to court to collect on insurance claims. Hiring an experienced and dedicated personal injury attorney early in the claims process would make succeeding in civil court easier.
