Texting While Driving May Be Banned in Virginia | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Texting while driving may be a thing of the past in Virginia.  According to an article in today’s Virginian Pilot, Governor Kaine is going to sign a ban on texting or e-mailing while driving.  The law would make texting a secondary offense – meaning the police would have to stop you for another traffic violation in order to give you a ticket for texting.  My law partner Richard Shapiro posted an article about the ban on our firm’s website.
