Hallwood, VA Man Killed in Eastern Shore Car Wreck | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A man died on August 20, 2011, in a car accident that left his car submerged in a pond on Winterville Road, north of Anns Cove Road on the Eastern Shore of Virginia (VA), according to the Virginian-Pilot. When police arrived to the scene, after a passer-by found the half-submerged car and called State Police. The police saw a 1973 Plymouth Roadrunnner submerged in the pond, and surmised the car ran off to the left side of the road and overturned. The police determined the driver, age 48, of the 24000 block of Savannah Road in Hallwood, VA, died before to the car submerged.

It was not known if alcohol played a factor in the accident. If alcohol was a factor, this man’s reminds us not to drink before driving. Drinking alcohol impairs the reaction time, judgment and coordination needed to drive safely.
