Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Tow Truck Driver in North Carolina Truck Crash | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

According to WWAY3 News, a horrible hit-and-run accident took the life of a tow truck driver on November 4, 2012. The accident occurred on Carolina Beach Road near McQuillian in Wilmington, NC. A woman had called AAA for assistance. The tow truck driver had exited his truck and was walking to her car when a truck crashed into him and kept going. Several witnesses called 911, but the victim was not able to be saved. The driver who fled the crash scene was caught and has allegedly been convicted of DUI eight times and has lost his license eleven times. He has also been accused of hit-and-run on two other occasions.
