The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

It is disheartening to those of us who practice personal injury law to hear of another victim losing his life because of a drunk driver who has been convicted several times, yet continues to drive a car while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The district attorney handling the case said the at-fault driver’s long list of convictions and driving infractions may help to put him behind bars for a long time. In the meantime, the victim’s family is forced to deal with the emotional and financial strains that come with losing a loved one in a truck accident that could have been prevented. We hope they find an experienced North Carolina truck accident attorney to help them through this difficult process.

Potentially Helpful Info:

Hit-and-run drivers frequently leave the crash scene for one of several reasons. They may not have a valid driver’s license; they may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or they may not have insurance on the car or truck they are operating. In many cases, all three of these factors apply. Our experienced North Carolina car accident lawyers provide information on our website regarding what to do if you are hit by a hit-and-run or uninsured driver.
