Man Ran Onto I-77 With Toddler in Alleged Suicide Attempt, Multiple Injuries Resulted | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), man ran into traffic on I-77 with his 2-year-old daughter in an alleged suicide attempt. According to WBTV 3, both the father and the daughter were critically injured when they were hit by a vehicle. Multiple cars and trucks also wrecked, sending at least five people to the hospital.

The suicidal man was charged with violating a protective order, child abuse that inflicted serious injury and attempted first-degree murder of the toddler. The child’s mother may have grounds to pursue an injury claim against the father for inflicting such serious harm on their daughter. The victims involved in the car wreck may also be able to pursue damages.
