A Hampton Roads Transit Bus hit an HRT employee at the bus garage on 18th Street during the night of October 8, 2011, in Norfolk, Virginia (VA). The bus was in the process of getting cleaned and prepared for the next day’s routes. According to wvec.com, the employee suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to the hospital.
The driver has been placed on administrative leave, as is the standard operating procedure after an accident such as this. Regardless of the cause of this tragedy, our thoughts and sympathies are with the victims and their families.
