Mid-Air Crash between Plane and Helicopter Leads to Two Lives Lost | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Two people were killed in a mid-air crash involving a private medical helicopter and a small airplane near Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Augusta County in Virginia State.

The occupants of the helicopter did not suffer any injuries and there were not any patients onboard the helicopter. However, sadly, the two occupants onboard the small plane were killed, according to presstv.ir.

As a licensed pilot, the idea of crashing into another plane or helicopter is something many pilots fear. Unfortunately, these types of accidents are not uncommon. For example, a small plane crashed into a tourist helicopter in 2009 resulting in the deaths of nine people, according to the Washington Post.

The details of the most recent plane-helicopter accident have not been released but an investigation continues. We will have to wait and see what information is brought to light to determine the cause of this tragic accident.
