Mother Killed in Wreck on N.C. 150 | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

A 28-year-old mother of two was killed in a terrible accident on N.C. 150 in Tyro, North Carolina (NC). The NC Highway Patrol reported that a Ford Mustang was traveling north on N.C. 150 when the driver suddenly crossed the center line and slammed head-on into the mother’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Cavalier.

The Cavalier contained the mother and her two children. The mother was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she later passed away. The only bright spot is that her two children survived the wreck and reportedly did not sustain serious injuries, according to the-dispatch.com.

The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

The family of the young mother may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim against the driver of the Mustang. It’s frustrating to think that, had the driver been more cautious and not suddenly veered into oncoming traffic, this wreck probably could have been avoided. The mother’s family should speak to a North Carolina wrongful death attorney to determine what legal options may be available to them.
