Because of the volume of traffic on interstates, and the higher rate of speed at which cars and trucks travel, multiple-car accidents can easily occur. Oftentimes, it takes investigators awhile to determine what caused the accident and who is at fault. More than one driver may be found to be responsible, making filing insurance claims or lawsuits a bit confusing. If you are involved in a multiple-car accident, a North Carolina car accident attorney can help sort out the details while you recuperate from the shock of the wreck and any injuries you may have received.

One piece of advice is to be sure to get a copy of the police report, which will provide information regarding what caused the accident. Having contact information on the other drivers involved may also be useful.
