Multiple Injuries Reported Following Whitsett, NC SUV Rollover Accident

Seven people were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Whitsett, North Carolina (NC). According to the Times-News, victims of the wreck on I-40/85 include a 2-year-old toddler who is in critical condition, an infant, another toddler and a 17-year-old. The 32-year-old driver of the Isuzu SUV also sustained injuries.

The SUV apparently flipped over and landed on its side. All passengers were transported to either Alamance Regional Medical Center or Moses Cone Hospital.

The driver stated the accident was caused by a tractor-trailer that swerved into her lane more than once. There was no direct contact between the truck and SUV, however. Aerial photos taken by firefighters responding to the scene showed the accident was a result of high energy, meaning it occurred at high speed.

The innocent passengers who were injured in this accident may have grounds to pursue damages in personal injury claims. It may be awkward or uncomfortable pursuing a claim against a friend or someone you know, but the claim is against the driver's insurance company, not directly against the person.
