The Virginia Injury Lawyers’ Perspective

The injured victims should consider speaking to a Virginia personal injury lawyer to discuss their legal options. It appears, from the facts available that the  Honda driver may have negligently operated their vehicle causing this awful accident. Obviously, as the facts above state, the driver is facing criminal charges for failing to properly control their vehicle. This is a class 1 misdemeanor (see section 46.2-853) punishable by up to one year in jail, a large fine and/or a six month suspension of their driver’s license.

If the victims were to pursue a personal injury claim against the driver, a criminal charge, or conviction, can be helpful in establishing liability since it indicates that the driver operated their vehicle in a reckless fashion.
