Crashes like this in North Carolina or anywhere else illustrate the damage that can occur when someone drinks and drives. All 50 states and the District of Columbia have laws making it a crime to drive with a blood alcohol concentration at or above .08. Driving while intoxicated slows reaction time and impairs coordination.
