NC Car Wreck Leads to Loss of Life for 19-Year-Old Woman | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

It seems that there will be no justice for the family of a young Virginia Beach woman. On Tuesday, May 10, 2011 the young woman was hit by a pickup truck  on her driver side door in Elizabeth City, North Carolina (NC). She was rushed away in an ambulance to Albemarle Hospital and then flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she later died from the severity of her injuries.

All the while the driver of the vehicle that struck her received treatment for minor injuries. While neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the collision, it still proved to be deadly. More information about the crash can be obtained from this news article.

There was no blame pointed to any individual by police, but it is clear that one family will never be the same again. We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family of the young woman that passed away in this Elizabeth City car-truck accident.

We understand that nothing can replace the loss of a family member from any traumatic event, but if it turns out this accident could have been prevented, seeking justice through the legal system makes sense. For example, we represented a mother who lost her child in a car wreck. To learn more, take a look at this case result.
