Norfolk, Virginia (VA) Child Hit by Car on Colley Ave | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Just days after a nearly fatal hit and run of a child in Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA), another child is hit by a car in Norfolk.  Fortunately this time the driver did the right thing and stopped.  The child is recovering after being hit by the car this afternoon at 31st and Colley Ave.  Police spokesperson Chris Amos said the child’s injuries are not life-threatening.  The driver did stop, but police are still investigating.

We’re not sure yet why the driver hit the child, but I know as a mother myself, the parents must be traumatized.  It is very hard to see your child in pain and not be able to ease their suffering.  I hope the child recovers swiftly and my thoughts are with the family.
