North Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers who responded to the accident scene said speeding appears to have contributed to causing the crash. The driver and passengers had allegedly left a club, and beer bottles and cans were found in the vehicle. It is unclear whether the driver had been drinking.

Regardless of whether the accident was caused by speeding or driving under the influence of alcohol, the fact remains that two passengers died and their families are left to grieve. Hopefully, the third victim and the driver will have quick and complete recoveries.

While doing so is certainly not foremost in their minds, the injured passenger and the families of the deceased passengers should speak with an NC car accident attorney to determine what action needs to be taken, which could include filing insurance claims and personal injury or wrongful death lawsuits.
