A woman in North Carolina has been charged with DUI and vehicular homicide after the car she was driving hit a pedestrian last Saturday night. The wreck occurred in Warner Robins, NC near an emergency ramp off of Interstate 75.
Local media reported that she struck a 58 year-old man and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The report also noted that the pedestrian had been a passenger in another car that had stopped in the emergency lane. The car had stopped due to road debris that was stuck on their car.
